# Environmentally-Preferred Products & Practices Policy

### Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors and suppliers engaging with DOS & Co.

### Definitions

<table><thead><tr><th width="210.5">Term</th><th>Definition</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Environmentally-Preferred Products</strong> or <strong>EPP's</strong></td><td>Products or services that have a lesser or reduced effect on human health and the environment when compared to competing products or services.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Sustainable Practices</strong></td><td>Practices that meet the need of the present, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.</td></tr></tbody></table>

### General Principles

* Sustainable Procurement: We prioritise the procurement of EPP's that are durable, reusable, recyclable and/or made from recycled materials.
* Resource Efficiency: We promote the efficient use of resources, including energy, water and materials.
* Waste Reduction: We encourage recycling and the reduction of waste, aiming for a zero-waste environment.

### When you're purchasing something

* Evaluate: Look at the whole lifecycle cost of the product, its environmental attributes and its performance criteria.
* Engage: Engage with supplies to promote the procurement of EPP's and explore opportunities for sustainability.

### Sustainable Practices

* Energy Conservation: Implement energy-saving practices and consider renewable energy sources.
* Water Conservation: Promote water-saving practices and technologies.
* Green Building: Adopt green building standard and practices for facility management and new locations.
